The turning point was the arrival of my grandchildren. I simply did not want to miss any part of the experience of being ‘Nana.’ When I was first activated on the drive home I realized I could hear my husband speaking to me. He was driving on my left the ear that had just had the implant inserted. We hadn’t talked in the car in quite some time. Overall, my cochlear implant has been a vast improvement.
